The Story

Division Nature was founded in the summer 2000 and they're almost immediately started to create their music. First demo recorded between november-december 2000 and it contains first two songs they ever did ('Blue For The Rain' and 'Love Is A Trash'). In the demo singing and rockguitars are backgrounded with african drums, harmonica and computerprogrammings. They sent demo to finnish musicmagazine Soundi and radiostation Radiomafia, but it had publicity only in their website (http://www.soundmen.net/bands/division_nature) where the songs were been downloadable in mp3-format.

In 2001 they rehearsed with material they created in previous year and there's some new material for coming up. Second demo recorded in the end of august 2001 and it gets airplay in Radiomafia in december 2001. It also appears in the demoreviews of finnish musicmagazine Rumba in the same month. Second demo contains three songs and the style is more rockier, but programmings stays on the background. Singer Tommi plays now synthesizers in one song and there's also organ and flute for spicing their mixture. In first two demos of Division Nature were gueststar Jiri K, who made all programmings and additional instruments on the records. He gave also another kind of help to make the birth of these records possible.

Third demo was recorded march-april 2002 and at this time the music was made in more simple format on purpose. There is singing and guitars (of course!), but there's showed also piano, harmonica and simple drumtracks made by studiocomputer. Creator of backgrounds has changed to Revil who had earlier work as a DJ. Record starts with fast track with spirit of glamrock, but it continues the most part of the end in acoustic mood. Band sent records forward to different medias in same concept as before.

The recordings of the fourth demo has started in the middle of december 2002 and now they did music without a help from outside of them. The music is more rock than third demo was. There is different scenes mixed together. Demo contains three songs of theme that's dedicated for 'mistreated people'. Demo was complete in the middle of march 2003. There you can find gothic nyance, melodies, drums from the jungle and even fuzzed vocals. Demo gained airplay from YleX (finnish national radiostation) at the program called X-Ryhmä and Radio Helsinki in may 2003 .

No Quit To Freedom, Blue For The Rain and Crumbling were downloadable in mp3.com and the best positions in the chart made of finnish songs are 242, 262 and 263 in summer 2003.

Division Nature had songs ready and there were next demo planned to record in the autumn 2003. Some effects recorded by Timo during the summer and the sounds were planned to be raw, brutal and material was meant to be fast, but in july Timo said that he quits playing and that means end for Division Nature, that's very sad for all of us :(

Tommi continues doing the music on his own and there is coming material somewhere in the future, we can only wait and see what's coming in...

You can check the music in these pages and make your own opinion for it, we hope that you'll enjoy for our art...
